It was the year 2008

2008 is over.

I will soon face into a new challenge that will embrace my life in growing more in love with my Creator. I know that all things work together for good and whatever happens in my life this coming year, I know that these are all set according to His plan and decision.

I just can’t help but to think how meaningful my life was in the year 2008. I did learn a lot of things. Most things mold my personality that continuously made my life to be more meaningful. I can’t help but to think that the past year was indeed a fruitful and painful year for me however in all things that happen, I learned more from them.

To sum it all up, I just want to recall the precious moments that I’ve experienced, the memorable things that I’ve got and the wonderful events that happened in my life in 2008.

I will never forget the time when I was promoted in my work. In the span of seven months, my boss talked to me and told me that I will be joining the sales team. Wow! It was in January when I entered the team. I started to understand more of the business and realized that every work is not that easy. Even up to now, I am continuously learning in the career that I chose.

I will never forget the time when I went to Pampanga to go for a mission. Although, it was my second time to ride on a boat, I still couldn’t help not to shout because of the thrill in riding on that. That mission was very momentous for me. I’ve met great people in Pampanga and they were indeed very nice to us.

I will never forget the time when I first stood in front of the church to preach God’s Word. When I was just a child, what I know about pulpit ministry was just for the elders, preachers and pastors. It didn’t enter in my imagination that I will be experiencing that. But then, I know that God appointed me there and I gladly accepted the task. In my preaching, I first learned from the Word and then God used me to be His instrument in giving His blessing to the congregation.

I will never forget the time when I went to Anilao, Batangas and experienced snorkeling. It was a great moment for me in seeing the wonderful creation of my God. As I look at the graceful action of different fishes, I can’t help but to express how great my God is. In that wonderful moment with my officemates, I just feel so blessed that God let me to experience that.

I will never forget the time when I became the music coordinator in Praise and Worship Ministry. At first, I was hesitant but then God made me realized that people did not appoint me there but He was the One who chose me to be in that place to fulfill His great plan for the team and even for the whole congregation.

I will never forget the time when I felt the care from someone whom I thought would never care for me. Although it did not last for a long time, God me realized that I cannot have all things that I want in this world. However, in experiencing that, He made me realized that He is much capable in giving the love that nobody in this world could ever give to me. It was indeed a great time and I was really happy. I will never forget that person.

There are still so many things that happen in my life for the past year.

I will never forget the time when…

I joined our company cocktail party and met a lot of expats.

I let myself to be carried by a forklift and have my colleague took picture of me.

I bought second hand ipod shuffle from a special friend of mine.

I wore life jacket for the first time in my entire life.

I got my own passport.

I spent my whole salary for my 23^rd birthday and celebrated the event with my family.

I led the praise and worship in our church anniversary.

I cried because I’ve hurt my best friend.

I cannot breathe easily for almost two weeks (literally).

I got a post paid plan (Sun Cellular).

I’ve lost my mobile phone inside a vehicle.

I bought a personal notebook and got my own USB.

I told to someone that I am in love.

To be totally honest, there are still a lot of things that happen in my life in 2008. I just can’t write them all here.

I know in the coming year, there will be many “firsts” that will happen in my life. I can’t wait to experience those things.

Thank You Lord for making my life meaningful. This 2009, I will continuously surrender my life to You. May Your will be done on me and my family. I love You so much Lord.
